Durable Materials

5.11 pants use two core fabric platforms plus a denim variant.

Flex-Tac ripstop powers the Stryke. Poly-cotton with mechanical stretch and a DWR finish for stain and water resistance.

Flex-Tac stretch canvas on the Apex and Ridge. Same fabric family, different weights. 7.2oz on the Apex for heavier duty use, 6.4oz on the Ridge for a lighter covert build.

FlexLite ripstop on the ABR Pro. The lightest of the range at 5.6oz, still reinforced at the seat and knees for hard use.

Flex-Tac denim on the Defender-Flex Jean. Jean cut with tactical toughness.

Every pair uses YKK zippers, bar-tack reinforcement at stress points, and reinforced melamine buttons.

Excellent quality pants. Very similar to the now unavailable tactical Stryke TDU pants i've loved for the last ten years. Placement of the cargo pockets is slightly lower on the leg, which I find a little awkward; however, hopefully it's just a matter of getting used to it.

This 5.11 Tactical - Flex-Tac TDU Ripstop Pant | Dark Navy feels like a more updated version of the 5.11 Taclite TDU Pants. The flex-tac version feels more flexible and tailor fit all round waist, including between the inner legs. this product is true to its size and more comfortable than the Taclite version since you have to choose the next size up and more baggy look. I prefer the flex - tac version over any day.
